Grinnell First Friends Church will host its 26th Annual Live Nativity 6-8:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on the church lawn.

Live characters and animals will portray a biblical retelling of the Christmas story with three scenes: the shepherds in the fields, the manger scene and the tale of the traveling wise men. Viewing is done from one’s vehicle; bringing children, the handicapped and the elderly is encouraged.

Characters in different costumes will rotate in and out of the scenes every 25 minutes, providing a “different” look for later viewings. Often, there is time to stop and observe for several minutes at a time.

First Friends Church is located at Highway 146 South between Interstate highway 80 and downtown Grinnell.
