Olive Jane Lamb

Chapter of Questers

The Olive Jane Lamb Chapter of Questers met on Thursday, Nov. 8, at the home of JoAnne Becker. President Linda Kirchhoff conducted the meeting. A reminder was given about the Terrace Hill Christmas Tea on Dec. 3. A discussion was held concerning the projects the group wished to support during the holidays. The club voted to give to two local projects.

Janie Holland will host the Christmas dinner at her home on December 13th.  Each member is to R.S.V.P. to Janie before December 10th.  The program will be on “Family Food traditions”.  Individual contributions will be donated to a local charity.

JoAnne Becker gave the program on the artist Donald Zoland. He lived from 1937 to 2009. Zoland came from a family of artist and began working in watercolors at the age five and oils at age eight. Zoland was a graduate of the Chicago American Academy of Art. He said that most of his ideas came from growing up in the quintessential Norman Rockwell town of Brookfield, Ill. His paintings celebrate the joy of childhood with its wonder and innocence.  His art work is found on many plate series, on books, posters, calendars, book marks, etc.  Plates come in a variety of sizes and prices.  Joanne showed pieces from her collection.

Refreshments were served by the hostess.
