Newton

Needlecraft Club

The Newton Needlecraft Club opened its 2012-2013 year with the election of officers, including Helen White as chairperson, Grace Miller as vice chairperson and Deloris Ely as secretary-treasurer.

Phyllis Emmack entertained the group in her home with Dee Ely instructing the group in making yo-yo cardinals.

Members enjoyed a visit and tour of the Crazy Redhead Quilt Shop.

In October, members met at the residence of Grace Miller with Eleanor Dille in charge of decorating sweatshirts. Miller and Mary Moss served refreshments prior to the meeting.

The next meeting will be Friday at the Dille’s residence. Miller will be in charge of the needlecraft.
