Colfax fire chief, assistant chief endorse Halferty

We have known John Halferty for many years. We’ve watched him work, volunteer and assist in training. He is willing to volunteer countless hours beside us in the best interest of the residents of Jasper County.

There is no doubt he is probably the most honest person we know, and he expects the same from everyone around him. Anyone who would question his integrity obviously doesn’t know him.

John and his other deputies have made it clear to members of the Colfax Fire Department that just because they’re on the department, they will not be given any slack.

These are just a few of the reasons why we support him for the office of Sheriff of Jasper County. Along with his dedication, integrity, experience and honesty, we believe there is no other person higher qualified for the office of sheriff.

We also feel anyone who knows him, or has had dealings with him, would think the same.
