Local 4-H students attend camp-out

Twenty five middle school 4-H youth from Jasper, Marion and Poweshiek counties recently attended  an Intermediate 4-H Camp-Out at the State 4-H Center in Madrid. While there, the group participated in team-building courses such as a low ropes course, a creek walk, night hike, cooking over an open fire and zip lining. They also attended a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) event and did the 2012 National Youth Science Experiment “The Eco Bot” challenge.
