A new sculpture featuring clay elements created by Thomas Jefferson and Woodrow Wilson students has been installed at Aurora Park. The sculpture was completed this past spring during a residency with Iowa Artists Pam Dennis and Ryk Weiss. TAG students from Woodrow Wilson and volunteers at the Centre for Arts & Artists helped create metal leaves and wire all of the pieces onto the panels. Funding for the project was provided by the Iowa Arts Council, NCEF, Newton PTA and donations through www.donorschoose.org. The Newton Parks and Recreation Department provided the site and had the piece ready for installation.
