Newton Police Department

• Jamie N. Danley, 27, of Monroe was ctied for having no proof of insurance after authorities responded to a complaint of a two-vehicle accident at 12:46 p.m. Tuesday in the Walmart parking lot. Danley was cited for colliding with a vehicle driven by Geraldine Brown, who was eastbound in the parking lot. Damage to Danley’s vehicle was estimated at $800, and damage to Brown’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500. Brown was transported to Skiff Medical Center by members of her family.

• Steven L. Sinclair, 35, of Newton was cited for driving while suspended at 4:30 p.m. Monday following a traffic stop at the intersection of Iowa Speedway Drive and Interstate 80. He also was given a warning for an expired registration and released to appear.
