New disc golf course open for business
Newton disc golfer Jim Conley attempts a birdie throw on the first hole of the newly-opened disc golf course at Woodland Park Wednesday afternoon. The Newton Parks Board approved the construction of the course on April 10. Baskets for the 12-hole course were provided by Mojo Cycling owner Joe Urias for $4,727, and city crews poured the concrete tees.
