Maddison Jones to compete in NAM Preteen Pageant

Maddison Jones, 11-year-old daughter of Amy and Cliff Jones of Newton, will be participating in the National American Miss Pageant preteen competition on April 28 and 29 at the Ramada Hotel in Waterloo.

The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 cash award, a crown and banner, a bouquet of roses and air transportation to compete in the National Pageant in California.

In the National American Miss Pageants, girls under the age of 12 are not allowed to wear make-up, and there is no swimsuit competition. The pageant program is based on inner beauty, poise and presentation.
