Maytag Pool 
opens for summer

The Maytag Pool was a busy place Wednesday for its opening day. Nine-year-old Brandon Versendaal, foreground, enjoys one of the pool’s waterfalls to escape from the heat. Maytag Pool hours are Monday through Wednesday, noon to 9 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, noon to 7 p.m.; and Sundays, noon to 5 p.m.
