Davis leads PCM girls golf as Mustangs finish seventh at HOIC tourney

Mustangs finish third in Knoxville triangular

STATE CENTER — Eleigh Davis led PCM’s girls golf team at the Heart of Iowa Conference tournament on Wednesday.

The Mustangs finished seventh in the team standings at Lincoln Valley Golf Course.

Davis shot a 111 to lead the way while Riley Johannes carded a 121, Tori Peterson shot a 136 and Deanna McHargue turned in a 159. The Mustangs shot 527 as a team.

Roland-Story had three in the top four and won the HOIC championship by 36 shots after firing a 369. Kaitlyn Rahfeldt won medalist honors with an 84 and Mackenna Carlson shot an 88 to claim the runner-up spot.

The rest of the seven-team field included Nevada (405), South Hamilton (410), West Marshall (411), Saydel (469) and Greene County (486).

PCM finishes third at Knoxville triangular

KNOXVILLE —  On May 3, PCM played in a triangular at Knoxville and finished third with a 264.

Davis once again led the Mustangs, this time shooting a nine-hole score of 59. Peterson shot a 62, Johannes had a 65 and McHargue fired a 78.

Knoxville won the home meet with a 197 and Saydel was the runner-up with a 247. Knoxville’s Nikole Kussatz shot a 44 to win medalist honors and Amy Sullivan carded a 48 as the runner-up.
