Harold, the son of Harold L. and Geraldine (Krough) Finch, was born on March 20, 1956, in Marshalltown. He was a proud FFA member at Newton High School and graduated in 1975. Harold was united in marriage with Kim Crook in November of 1978. Throughout his life, Harold worked as a butcher, welder, farmer, and construction worker. Harold was stubborn man, but he had unconditional love for his family and taught this trait to his daughters. He loved to cook, tell people how to cook, and watch Westerns. Harold enjoyed sitting around, shooting the breeze with his family. In his free time, Harold liked trapping, hunting, and road-hunting.

Harold is survived by his daughters, Tiffany (Bryan) Finch, Lindsey Finch, and Katrina Finch all of Newton; grandchildren, Ariel, Nate, Trayton, Ashton, Clayton, Brailynn, Jayda, Jace, Adaline, and Abel; great-grandson, Kyzr; siblings, Deb Krueger of Grinnell, Steve Finch of Kalona, Jeff Finch of Laurel, and Robert “Bob” (Marilyn) Finch of Rock Creek; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother in infancy; nephew, Bobby Finch; and best friends, Robert “Bob” Ball and Ronnie Cashatt.
