Helen Marie Schmelzer, 94, formerly of Newton, died Saturday, July 17, 2021, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. A funeral mass for Helen will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 31 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton. The Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton has been entrusted with the arrangements. A visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m, prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
