Jacquline ”Jackie” Ann Heath, 72, of rural Mingo, died Sunday, May 9, 2021, at MercyOne Newton Medical Center. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, May 17 at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends after the service with a lunch at the funeral home. Memorials to the Ira United Church may be left at the funeral home.

Jackie, the daughter of Marlyn and Vera (Stewart) Sutton, was born Dec. 19, 1948. She grew up in Baxter and graduated from Baxter High School. After high school, she completed a secretarial program at DMACC. Jackie was united in marriage with John Charles Heath in 1969. Jackie worked for more than 30 years at Principal Financial Group, retiring as an underwriter. She was an active member of the Ira United Church. Jackie enjoyed collecting coins, crocheting, needlepoint, cross-stitch, sewing and reading.

Jackie is survived by her grandchildren, Jonathan Heath of Mingo, Christopher Heath of Ankeny, Benjamin Heath of Newton and Zachary Heath of Newton; step-children, John (Janet) Heath of Winterset, Joan (Tim) Rasmussen of Omaha, Neb., and Julie (Jeff) Menssen of Dunnell, Minn.; step-grandchild, John Nathan (Jessica) Heath; step-great-granddaughter, Brielle Heath; her daughter-in-law, Kristie Heath of Newton; siblings, Penelope (James) Shenk of Altoona and Roger Sutton of Kellogg; her niece, Susan Shenk-Underwood of Indianola; aunt, Eunice Siler of Burke, S.D.; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John C. Heath; and son, Jay Allen Heath.
