The Newton Chamber of Commerce is accepting registrations for the upcoming Fourth of July Parade happening in less than a month in the downtown district.

From 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. July 4, vendors will be set up on the town square as residents reserve their spots to see the parade, whose theme this year is “Made in America” and is a celebration of American invention and ingenuity. Amanda Price, executive director of the Newton Chamber, is excited to see creative floats.

“My ambassador group chooses the theme every year and I love to see the community’s creativity and joy as they proudly display their floats,” Price told Newton News last week. “A lot of effort and time goes into creating something that grand and we appreciate it.”

Prizes will be given out to the top three floats. To register for the parade, visit www.experiencenewton.com and fill out the participant registration form. Those who register must include their contact info, select their entry type (float, walking unit, tractor, etc.) and pay a $10 registration fee. The deadline is July 3.

Vendors have until June 19 to fill out their registration form, which includes contact information, type of vendor and a description of products sold. Vendors will be asked to set up by 7:30 a.m. the day of the parade. Vendors will be located on West Second Street North.
