NHS student in All-State Speech Festival

Leo Friedman has been selected to participate in the All-State Speech Festival.

Friedman participated in individual state speech for both expository address and original poetry. He worked extremely hard in both categories and delivered both with perfect precision. He received an overall score of 1 for both performances and then it was the long wait until All-State recommendations came out on the Monday of spring break.

Friedman was nominated for the All-State Festival to perform his expository address, “The Game of Life and How to Win,” and also received an Outstanding Performance nomination, which only 400 students earn out of nearly 9,000 students who begin at the district level.

Friedman will perform his address during the second session of All-State at the University of Northern Iowa March 27.
