• Randy G. Dickerson, 34, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief at 11:20 a.m. March 11 in the 1400 block of North 11th Avenue East. According to the Newton Police Department, officers responded to a call for criminal mischief. Dickerson was allowed to stay at the apartment due to him being homeless. Dickerson asked for money and a ride home from his sister and when his sister refused him, he got upset and threatened to damage properties in the apartment, kicking and punching three holes in the kitchen wall. In the living room, Dickerson damaged a 55 inch flat screen television by grabbing it so hard the screen cracked. The cost of the television is $300 and to repair the holes is $100. Dickerson was taken into custody.
