• Cameron W. Ferrell, 31, was charged with two counts of violation of a no contact order and trespassing at 8:04 p.m. Nov. 24 in the 400 block of East Eighth Street South. According to the Newton Police Department, on Nov. 24 Ferrell was located at East Town Apartments to which the Newton police obtained the trespass papers from the apartment complex. Officers were dispatched regarding an unwanted guest and Ferrell was that guest. The victim at the residence has a no contact order against Ferrell. The NCO was issued on Sept. 24 and Ferrell violated the order by being at the victim’s residence and officers observed Ferrell at the protected party’s residence. Newton police also said in the report at 12:44 a.m. Oct. 24 they were dispatched to the same residence for a violation of a no contact order. The order states that Ferrell shall not be in the immediate vicinity of the protected party’s residence and Ferrell violated this by going to the victim’s apartment. Two tenants witnesses and spoke to Ferrell. Ferrell was arrested on a warrant for the first violation of NCO charge. He was additionally charged with a second violation of NCO charge and trespass and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
