Gregory Alan Patterson

Sept. 1, 2019

Gregory Alan Patterson, 33, formerly of Monroe, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019. A memorial gathering will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Monroe American Legion, 105 E. Marion St. A lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family and condolences may be left for the family at coburnfuneralhomes.com.

Greg was born Aug. 20, 1986, in Des Moines. He was raised in Monroe and graduated from PCM High School in 2005. Greg worked for Hewitt’s Service Center in Monroe during high school and for a time after. He then went to work at Astoria in Chariton, Cunningham-Reis and most currently in Des Moines at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts. Greg’s greatest loves were his children, Drake and Peyton, as well as his love for working on cars, sound systems and tires. He liked Chevy’s but loved his momma’s Mustang. Greg could be described as straightforward, and there was never a dull moment when he was around. He loved his family and friends with a giant heart. He was a die-hard Denver Broncos fan.

Greg will be greatly missed by his children, Drake and Peyton; his father, Jeffery “Stumpy” (Karen) Patterson; his mother, Teresa (Tim Burnsworth) Steil; siblings, Randy (Brittany Lee) Steil and Roni (Dalton Barber) Steil; his partner, Alisa Morrison and her children; and grandparents, William (Cheryl) Patterson, Norma Jean Knight and Claudia Wimmer; along with many relatives and friends.
