Paul K. Twaddle

Paul K. Twaddle, 66, of Carthage, Ill. formerly of Newton, passed away at noon Saturday, Aug.10, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Carthage.

Paul was born March 14, 1953, in Macomb, Ill., the son of William Keith and Mary Katherine (Chockley) Twaddle. He attended Carthage High School graduating in 1971 and then went on to Robert Morris College. Paul had worked as a Correctional Officer in Fort Madison and Newton for 30 years retiring in 2010. He loved golf, bowling, playing cards and his dogs, A.J. and Buster. Paul had been married to Donna McHugh and Phyllis Schmidt.

Paul is survived by three children, Wyatt (fiancÚ, Rebecca Hall) Twaddle of Gurnee, Ill., Joshua (fiancÚ, Danella Sahadeo) Twaddle of Newton and Jaci Twaddle of Newton; his mother, Mary K. Twaddle of Carthage; six siblings, Don (Denise) Twaddle of Washington, Ill., Annette (Darrel) Harl of Colusa, Ill., Gary (Terri) Twaddle of Carthage, Mike (Theresa) Twaddle of Carthage, Mark (Debbie) Twaddle of Lisle, Ill. and Julie (Dave) Kaplan of Raleigh, N.C.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14 at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage with burial to follow in Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage with family meeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
