Garry L. Selby, 62, of Newton, died Sunday, June 23, 2019, at MercyOne Newton Medical Center. A celebration of life will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 13 at the Newton VFW. Memorials to Garry’s family can be left at the funeral home or can be brought to the VFW. Please make checks payable to Shane Selby.
Garry, the son of Ernest and Katheryne (Coop) Selby, was born Sept. 15, 1956, in Newton. He had worked at a few businesses in Newton and most recently worked for Per-Mar Security. He was united in marriage with Debra Dickerson in 1987.
Those left to honor Garry’s memory include his children, Shane (Andrea) Selby, Chris Stoner and Nikki Stoner; seven grandchildren; his sister, Rosealee Rhodes; brother, Terry Selby; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Debbie, June 20, 2019; step-son, Dustin Stoner; granddaughter, Payton True Brauch; his brother, Jerry Selby; and a sister, Rosemarie Sanders.
