Scholarships, awards handed out at Senior Night

New National Honor Society members inducted at ceremony

The final pieces before graduation are falling into place for the seniors at PCM High School. May 15 the annual Senior Awards Night was held along with the National Honor Society Induction ceremony at the high school.

Gathered with friends and family, the seniors accepted more than 40 awards and scholarships throughout the evening to help them in their next steps in life. Awards given out included:

Sixteen students were also inducted into the PCM National Honor Society at a ceremony prior to the senior awards. Lilli Baird, Alexis Dross, Brooke Dross, Riley Hjortshoj, Emma Houser, Chloe Inskeep, Trenton Johnston, Lexi Keucker, Kate McCarthy, Dane Owens, Lucas Roland, Dylan Sanders, Chase Spencer, Jason Stafford, Bess Telfer and Reed Worth took the oath to become a NHS member and follow the four principles of the organization: scholarship, service, leadership and character.

“I had so much fun with our NHS members on Earth Day, they did a phenomenal job, I was super impressed and it was a really great time, we have a great group of kids,” high school counselor Brittni Horstman said. “I look forward to working with the new members for many years to come and for all NHS members to uphold the principles of the National Honor Society.”
