Second Legislative Coffee is Saturday

The League of Women Voters of Jasper County will host the second Legislative coffee at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Newton Hy-Vee club room.

Area state representatives Wes Breckenridge, D-Newton, and Jon Thorup, R-Knoxville, and state senators Zach Nunn, R-Bonderant, and Amy Sinclair, R-Allerton, have been invited. Sen. Nunn has a prior commitment and won’t be able to attend. Legislators will offer brief reports on their legislative activities and then take questions from those in attendance.

Coffee and rolls will be provided. The public is invited and encouraged to participate. The final 2019 legislative coffee is planned for March 16.
