Community Heights Alliance Primetime

On April 15, 51 Primetimers met for soup (prepared by Gladys Harris), sandwiches and desserts in the gathering room with Ron and Nancy Toppenberg and daughter Cheryl Piofraschke presenting special music plus leading favorite hymns with the group. 

Ron Nearmyer welcomed the snowbirds back, and Pastor John led devotions and prayer prior to the meal. Celebrating April birthdays: Maxine Atwood, and Verneil Knott. Pat Butin decorated the tables using miniature Noah’s arks. Hosts were Chuck and Gladys Harris, Paul and Marilyn Goodwin and Don and Carolyn Van Vark.

The tour of Salisbury House will be on Thursday. The group will leave church at 10:15 a.m., have lunch at 11:30 a.m. at Baratta’s followed by the tour for $6.

The Amana/Old Creamery Theatre trip is set for May 30. A deposit of $23.50 plus $2 for gas needs to be paid the day you sign up. The group will leave the church 9:45 a.m., have lunch at 11:30 a.m. at Ox Yoke Inn, shop a bit and then see the Comedy “Cooking for Gus” at Old Creamery Theatre at 3 p.m.

The next Primetime potluck will be at 6 p.m. Monday, May 20, with Sounds of Inspiration presenting the program. Hosts will be Judy Anderson, Ed and Mary Rozendaal, Myrtle Schwarz and Orville and Vi Van Wyk. Bring a favorite dish to share, and friends are welcomed.
