Maytag benefits issue
To the Editor,
Thank you, Sen. Dennis Black for taking on such a big task (dealing with Maytag retiree benefits). It seems to me those folks who should be fighting tooth and nail are now rolling over and playing dead. I have been at it and have been armed and dangerous for some time.
It pays to be educated with updated written information on all Medicare books, Social Security information and even Whirlpool medical books — phone numbers, also.
Also, honey does get more than vinegar. Sometimes I lose it, but we all have the right to do that though. We got the worst deal ever. After all, we were more than a company, we were family and had family that worked there or retired from there. Besides, I bet Fred Maytag is rolling over in his grave.
This is happening to us, this is happening all over the U.S.A. Where is it going to end? Where is our retirement? Write our congress and senator with Sen. Black and demand answers. I have been writing Senator Chuck Grassley.
