City of Newton offices, services closed for Thanksgiving holiday

Several City of Newton services will close in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Newton City Hall, Newton Fire Department Business Office, Newton Public Library, Newton Parks & Recreation Office, Newton Police Department Business Office, Newton Public Works and Newton WaterWorks will be closed Thursday and Friday.

The Newton Sanitary Landfill will be closed Thursday but will be open for regular hours Friday. Westwood Municipal Golf Course will be closed Thursday but will be open for business as usual Friday if weather permits. Dodd’s Trash Hauling & Recycling will collect Thursday’s trash and recyclables on Friday, along with Friday’s normal pick-up.
