Farmers finally get back in the fields

Jasper County farmers were finally able to get back into their fields this week. Kevin Honderd of Double H Trucking unloads a wagonload of corn on the Harris Vos farm southeast of Newton on Monday afternoon. Honderd said he has been hauling from the elevators, but Monday was the first day he was able to get into the fields. The drier weather pattern is expected to continue through the week.
