Robyn Friedman to create routes for Newton’s new Jingle Bell Run

The next project for Robyn Friedman is organizing Newton’s first-ever Jingle Bell Run.
She is in charge of creating routes for the multiple-race event around town. The event will take place Nov. 28 and is a run for arthritis charity event.
There will be a kids’ run, a 2-mile run and a 5-mile run. It will start and finish downtown.
Other upcoming runs in the area for the month of November include the Fairgrounds 5K Fun Run/Walk in Des Moines at 10 a.m. on Nov. 7.
The other big run on Nov. 21 is the Living History Farms Off-Road Race. It is a 7-mile cross country race that is expected to field 7,500 cross country runners.
