District meet assignments announced for area teams

Cross country teams from around the state learned where they will compete for state berths at the end of the month.

Class 4A Newton and Class 1A Lynnville-Sully will both return to Marshalltown.

In Class 2A, PCM, Collins-Maxwell-Baxter and Colfax-Mingo all will run at Nodaway Valley in Greenfield.

The district meets will take place Thursday, Oct. 22. The races will start at 3:30 p.m.
