PCM boys take 10th in strong field at Clinton

CLINTON — After a long drive and going up against a lot of Class 4A schools, the PCM boys cross country team finished 10th at the Clinton Invitational Saturday.
Pleasant Valley — ranked No. 4 in Class 4A — took first with 51 points, while Class 4A No. 9 Urbandale was second with 80. Cedar Rapids Washington was third.
PCM was 10th in the 16-team field with 279 points.
Jake Potter led the PCM team with an 18th-place performance time of 17:58, while Koelten Reed was 19th in a time of 18 minutes.
