Boil order lifted in north Jasper County
A boil order that was issued on Wednesday for customers in Hickory Grove Township of Jasper County and the southern quarter of Green Castle Township of Marshall County has been lifted. Central Iowa Water Association lifted the order after all tests confirmed that no contamination occurred.
The boil order was issued yesterday as a result of an 8-inch water main break just north of Kellogg. The boil order was issued as a precautionary measure to ensure that contamination had not occurred when water pressures was reduced due to the water main break. The boil order affected approximately 125 customers in Central Iowa Water Association’s service territory.
Residents of the city of Laurel should contact local city officials regarding the boil order issued by the city.
