Stimulus dollars go to work

A Manatt’s employee uses a backhoe to dig out a portion of broken roadway Wednesday afternoon, a preliminary to patch work on Highway T-38 south of Lynnville. Deemed by some as the worst road in Jasper County, the highway from Lynnville south to the Mahaska County line will receive five inches of hot mix asphalt, starting on Monday. The project. which cost a total of $2,259,063.33, was made possible by $850,000 in federal stimulus money. The remainder of the cost will come from the farm-to-market funds.

The weather...
I love it, bring on the snow
I am so sick of winter, bring on the sunshine
I am ready to mow my lawn everyday, if that means no more snow this season
No opinion just dealing with what we are given
