COLUMBUS, Ohio — Courtney Lea Smith, born on Nov. 28, 1989, the only daughter of Gregory P. and Karen Lea Smith, entered eternal life with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 28, 2009.

Courtney was a 2008 graduate of Columbus School for Girls and enrolled at Duquesne University School of Nursing. Courtney was employed at Premier Health Club and previously volunteered at the NICU at Children’s Hospital. Courtney’s passions were journaling, drawing, helping others and spending time with her friends and puppies (Daisy and Willy).

Her time on earth was way too short, but those that loved her and knew her are thankful to the Lord for letting Courtney be a part of our lives.

Courtney will forever be remembered in the hearts of her parents, Karen and Greg; her brothers, PJ and Evan, all of Upper Arlington; her grandparents, Jane and George Smith of Dublin, Ohio, and Doreen and Joseph Geneser of Naples, Fla.; loving aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.

Friends may call from 9 to 11:45 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at St. Brendan The Navigator Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard, Ohio, where Mass of Christian burial will be at 12 noon Thursday. Private interment will be in the Resurrection Cemetery.
