Open class exhibits at county fair

The Jasper County Fair is approaching, with fairbooks now available and open class entry tags on hand in the Jasper County Extension Office in Newton.

Open class exhibits may be brought to the fairgrounds Friday, July 17, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. or Saturday, July 18, between 8 a.m. and noon. Exhibits in any of the following categories will be accepted from the general public: crafts, fine arts, flowers and plants, foods, gardening, family heritage, Legos/models/ textiles, photography, quilts or woods.

Everyone is invited to share in the fun of the Jasper County Fair in Colfax, which is free and begins July 17. Look for Fairbooks or call the extension office today at (641) 792-6433 to get more information.
