YPJC thanks Arts
Connection for support

To the Editor:

The classics were alive and well at Maytag Bowl Wednesday evening with a free public performance of William Shakespeare’s “The Winter’s Tale.” The event was well attended and the performance was great.

I’d like to publicly thank the Arts Connection Inc. for helping fund the performance, which was organized by the Young Professionals of Jasper County. Without the financial support of the Arts Connection the free performance would not have been possible. I’d also like to thank them for their cooperation, eagerness and willingness to work with the Young Professionals. It’s with the spirit of cooperation that many things can be accomplished and the Arts Connection is a prime example of that.

We hope, as an organization, that Shakespeare at the Bowl can become an annual event. The Young Professionals also hope to partner with other groups in the community and throughout Jasper County to offer valuable community events such as the Easter Egg hunt and the Shakespeare at the Bowl in the future.

Finally, I’d like to thank all who attended the event. Your support was appreciated.
