Cyclones to play in
Chicago Invitational

AMES (ISU) — The Iowa State men’s basketball team will play in the fourth annual Chicago Invitational, Nov. 27-28 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Ill.

The tournament will include Iowa State, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Saint Louis, Liberty, Mississippi Valley State, Tennessee State and Kennesaw State.

The Cyclones will play a total of three games in the Chicagoland area in 2009-10. ISU also will face Duke on Jan. 6 at the United Center.

Rounds 1 and 2 of the Chicago Invitational will be played at Notre Dame, Iowa State, Northwestern and Saint Louis with the final rounds during Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 27-28 at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates. Pairings will be announced at a later date.

Tickets are available at the Sears Centre Box Office, select (Chicago area) AMCORE Bank outlets, by phone at 1-888-SEARS TIX (732-7784) and online at www.searscentre.com. Tournament pass prices are $109 for floor seats, $98 for club level, $87 for lower bowl and $65 for upper. Passes are good for all eight games.

Cyclone Club members at the Directors, Victory, Captains or Gold levels will have the opportunity to order up to four tickets later this summer during the men’s basketball season ticket renewal process. All ticket orders will be based on availability.

Sears Centre Arena is an 11,000-seat multi purpose sports arena located in Hoffman Estates’ Prairie Stone Business Park.

  The Sears Centre Arena, which opened in 2006, is designed to accommodate a variety of events including concerts, family shows and sporting events.
