DMACC president to drive in Fourth of July parades

Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) President Rob Denson will have a busy upcoming holiday.  He will drive the DMACC tractor/trailer in three Fourth of July parades on July 4, in three different communities.

Denson’s first stop will be in Newton at 8:30 a.m., followed by an appearance at the Fourth of July Parade in Ames at 11 a.m. His last stop will be at the Windsor Heights parade at 1 p.m.

Denson drives the customized tractor/trailer in parades and local activities to highlight educational opportunities and promote DMACC’s more than 80 career and technical programs as well as its hundreds of continuing education courses.

“Education is a pathway to achieve your career goals,” says Denson. “Our participation in these festivities reinforces DMACC’s commitment to supporting the communities we serve and the students we educate.”

The weather...
I love it, bring on the snow
I am so sick of winter, bring on the sunshine
I am ready to mow my lawn everyday, if that means no more snow this season
No opinion just dealing with what we are given
