Fair queen pageant set for Tuesday

The Jasper County Fair Queen Pageant is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Newton Community Theatre.

This year’s fair queen contestants include Julie Beukema, Kimberly Rubino, Shawnee Storm, Ashley Reynolds and Annabelle and Auburn Blair. As a clarification, the information printed about each contestant in a previous edition of the Daily News inadvertantly omitted information about Rubino, who also been involved with MADD, the Colfax-Mingo Music Boosters, the C-M Athletic Booster Club and high school honor band and was selected to attend the High School District Student Leadership Council.
