Stafford makes first apperance at state meet

LIVERMORE (NDN) — Lynnville-Sully junior Zach Stafford shot rounds of 92 and 94 in his first appearance at the Class 1A Boys State Golf Meet Friday and Saturday at Spring Valley Golf Course.

Stafford is the fifth Lynnville-Sully individual to make the boys state meet in the past six years.

Jon Tink of Walnut Ridge Baptist won the individual title for the third consecutive year. Tink shot a 2-under-par 70 on day one and an 81 on day two to win by two strokes.

Mason City Newman won the team title by 18 strokes over Treynor with a 633.
