assignments announced
Postseason assignments for Class 1A, 2A and 3A were released Tuesday as the summer baseball season approaches.
In Class 1A District 10, Montezuma and Lynnville-Sully will face off Tuesday, July 14, at 5 p.m. in Brooklyn.
The other opening game will feature BGM and North Mahaska. On the other side of the district are Keota, HLV, English Valleys and Tri-County.
In District 9, Holy Trinity, Harmony, Danville, Notre Dame, Moulton-Udell, Moravia, Cardinal and Seymour are the teams vying for the other half of the substate game that will be Tuesday, July 21, at Ottumwa.
In Class 2A District 11, PCM will face Eddyville-Blakesburg in a Saturday, July 11, game at Albia at 5 p.m. Albia and Pella Christian will face off in the late game.
Mount Ayr, Interstate 35, Central Decatur and Wayne are the other four teams in the district.
The winner of District 11 will face the District 12 winner. Colfax-Mingo will host Des Moines Christian at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 11. The early game will feature Bondurant-Farrar and Pleasantville.
The other half of the district features Panorama, Nodaway Valley, Guthrie Center and West Central Valley.
The substate final will be Tuesday, July 21, in Norwalk.
In Class 2A District 13, CMB will travel to State Center to face West Marshall for a 7 p.m. game on Saturday, July 11. The early game will feature East Marshall and BCLUW.
On the other half of the district at Story City will feature Roland-Story, North Polk, Gilbert and South Hamilton.
Prairie Valley, Ogden, Jefferson-Scranton, Woodward-Granger, Carroll Kuemper, IKM-Manning, East Sac County and Rockwell City-Lytton/Southern Cal are in the other district, with the substate final being Tuesday, July 21, at Boone.
