Hawk boys hold on at home, now 4-0

SULLY — Lynnville-Sully held on for a 47-44 victory over North Mahaska Friday night to improve to 4-0 on the season. The Hawks trailed 24-18 at halftime but used a 17-8 third quarter to pull ahead. Zach Stafford led Lynnville-Sully with 16 points while Logan Vos collected eight points and eight rebounds. TJ Cullen led the team with nine rebounds. “It was a hard-fought ballgame,” said Lynnville-Sully coach Nick Harthoorn. “The guys hung tough and made enough plays down the stretch. It was good to see us protect our home floor.”
