L-S boys basketball now 3-0

SULLY — The Lynnville-Sully boys basketball team picked up a pair of wins over the weekend to improve to 3-0 overall — a 67-35 victory at Iowa Valley on Friday and an 80-68 win over Eddyville-Blakesburg Saturday. In the win at Iowa Valley, the Hawks broke open a 6-6 tie by outscoring the Tigers 25-9 in the second quarter. “Our defense kept us in the game early when our offense was struggling,” L-S coach Nick Harthoorn said. “The guys started knocking down some shots in the second quarter.” Dallas Bryan led the Hawks with 21 points while Logan Vos collected 12 rebounds.
