McKenna wins in debut

BAXTER — Junior Dylan Hansen buried a 3-pointer with 15 seconds to go to give Collins-Maxwell-Baxter its first lead of the fourth quarter and senior Jordan West canned two freebies with five ticks left as the Raiders started off the 2008-09 season with a 57-53 win over conference rival Ogden, giving Mark McKenna a victory in his first game as CMB head coach. Hansen hit three triples in the game and finished with a game-high 16 points. Jacob Baugh scored all 10 of his points in the second quarter and Seth Robinett added seven points, five steals and four assists. “The kids kept battling and finally were able to take the lead in the last minute,” McKenna said. “The kids picked up their intensity and defensive pressure in the second half.” Th
