Tigerhawks upset No. 11 Twin Cedars

PLEASANTVILLE — What a difference one night can make. After scoring just nine points total against a tough Carlisle team Monday night in the Pleasantville Tournament, the Colfax-Mingo girls basketball team came back Tuesday night with an upset. Colfax-Mingo held Twin Cedars to just three second-half points, and Meg Alexander hit the front end of a 1-and-1 with 0.5 seconds left as the Tigerhawks rallied for a 27-26 win over the Class 1A No. 11 Sabers. The Tigerhawks trailed 23-14 at halftime, but coach Jeff Lindsay said his team responded. “At halftime, I challenged them,” said Lindsay. “The other team had one girl that had 18 of their 23 points at halftime. We knew what she was going to do, and in the second half, we held her to two points
