Trease, Bruns wed

Molly Jo Trease and Jason Robert Bruns were united in marriage at 4 p.m. on May 3, 2008, at St. Luke’s Methodist Church in Newton. The Rev. Audrey Young officiated at the ceremony. The bride, daughter of Todd and Amy Trease of Newton, is a 2006 graduate of Newton Senior High School and is currently employed by Progress Industries. The groom, son of Robert and Jennifer Bruns of Newton is a 2002 graduate of Newton Senior High School and is currently employed by Housby Mack in Des Moines. Maid of honor was Abbie Cupples of Newton, friend of the bride. Bridesmaid was Brook Gulling of Newton, friend of the bride. Serving as best man was Shawn Stevens of Newton, brother of the groom. J.R Bestell of Newton, friend of the groom, was the groomsman. Ushers were Lonnie Fults of Kellogg, uncle of the bride, and Luke Fults of Monroe, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Madison Taylor and Skylar Everett was the ring bearer. Justin and Steph Taylor hosted the wedding reception at the Elks Lodge with 200 guests attending. Special guests were Mary Morrow, Don Trease, Linda Johnson and great-grandparents, Keith and Reva Iske. Also attending as special guests were the groom’s grandparents, Dale and Marla Stevens. The couple are residing in Newton.
