Hawk runners take second in Brooklyn
BROOKLYN — The Lynnville-Sully cross country teams showed continued improvement Monday in a meet at the Brooklyn Country Club.
The L-S girls took second with 58 points, while Gladbrook Reinbeck won with 50. The L-S boys took third with 92 points. Belle Plaine won with 41 points, while host BGM was second with 83.
Mariah Terlouw led the girls with a time of 17:52, good for fourth. Other scorers were Cassie Schwartz (19:31, 10th), Carly Van Wyk (19:37, 11th), Kelsi Vanden Hoek (20:05, 16th) and Maddi Jansen (20:33, 17th).
