H.A. Lynn ready for game tonight

Newton Senior High School dedicated its new field Thursday night in preparation for the first game on the artificial turf at H.A. Lynn Field. Superintendent Steve McDermott expressed pride in the new facility, and gave thanks to the many people responsible for its construction. During the pep rally, the Pacesetters and cheerleaders gave performances, and the Newton Cardinal Regiment presented the crowd with its half-time performance. The Newton Cardinals will face Des Moines Valley on the new field, starting at 7:30 p.m.
