County Annex Building will get a new roof

The Jasper County Annex Building which houses the Department of Human Services offices, Conservation Board, RRACAP and several other organizations, will soon be getting a new roof. Doug McClun, the county’s maintenance director, said the building is long overdue for a new roof. “We’ve fought leaks in that building since I’ve been here,” McClun said. “It’s in very bad shape.” McClun has been in the county maintenance department since 1997. He said the south side of the building’s roof is asphalt strips, susceptible to leaks. The supervisors approved the low bid from TCR Roofing LLC of What Cheer.
