Reception on Monday for new Skiff president
The public is invited to meet Kris Baumgart, the new president/CEO of Skiff Medical Center, at a reception at the hospital on Monday.
The reception is scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. in the Skiff cafeteria and courtyard. Guests will enjoy free hors d’oeuvres and beverages and will have an opportunity to meet Baumgart and his wife, Sandy.
Baumgart began at Skiff last week, taking over as president and CEO of the hospital. Before moving to Skiff, he served for nine years as CEO of Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City and for nine years as CEO of Clarke County Hospital in Osceola.
A medical laboratory technologist by training, Baumgart received his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University, and his master’s in business administration from Drake University. The Baumgarts have two children — Erin, who graduated recently from Iowa State University, and Curt, who is a junior at Iowa State University.
