Locals struggle Saturday at Knoxville
KNOXVILLE — Shane Stewart won Saturday’s Knoxville 360 Nationals.
“The car was unbelievable,” Stewart said.
Stewart took the lead at the start of Saturday’s 25-lap main, then lost the top spot to Gary Wright on lap 12. Stewart reclaimed the lead on lap 15 and survived a late restart to take the $10,000 top prize.
The night didn’t go well for locals. Newton’s Brett Golik dropped out at the start of Saturday’s B-main, while Prairie City’s Nathan Mosher did not compete Saturday. Mosher had a disappointing night Friday which would have put him deep in Saturday’s D-main.
In Saturday’s 410 action, Bob Weuve battled throttle linkage issues.
